Community Outreach

Members of Caroline Pine Quilters identify and organize special projects in the community as the opportunity presents itself and/or as needed.  Examples include quilts for charities, special projects for National Quilting Day, Christmas stockings for underprivileged children or home bound seniors, Linus quilts, Lydia bags.

Our focus for 2022 is on Welcome Baby.  All mothers of newborns who deliver at Aiken Regional Medical Center receive support through the Welcome Baby program offered by Mental Health America of Aiken County, regardless of their age, income status or previous births. This United-Way funded program is the only program of its type in the area.  We will be making quilts, small blankets, bibs, tote bags and other supplies for them.
We will also continue to make Quilts of Valor, Lydia Bags, quilts as needed by various agencies, and respond to needs in the community.

Our Community Outreach Lead this year is Carolyn Gibbons.
